For years I ran my rentals the way a lot of small hosts do, by stacking up expensive tools. Around $150 a month for property software, another $125 for pricing, $25 for website hosting, plus countless hours building and fixing it all myself.
Then Airbnb raised its fees to around 15.5 percent for hosts using those big platforms. That was the moment I'd had enough. I walked away from the pricey software, brought my Airbnb fees back down to 3 percent, and built the simple, honest tool I always wished I had.
